Privacy policy

This policy explains how Training Connect handles personal information when you visit our website, submit a form or contact us through a linked service.

About this policy

Training Connect is operated by NEW SITE VENTURES PTY LTD, ABN 74 692 699 246. It is an Australian marketing and referral service. It is not an RTO and does not enrol learners, deliver training, assess competency, issue certification, accept bookings or collect payments.

This policy applies to the Training Connect website. Services operated by an RTO, training.gov.au, LinkedIn or another third party have their own privacy policies.

Information we collect

The current public website does not ask you to create an account or make a payment.

If you use a connected contact or newsletter form, we may collect the information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, organisation, enquiry topic and message.

If you register an interest in an RTO partnership, we may also collect your role and phone number, the RTO name, registration code and website, information about training products, delivery modes and service areas, partnership preferences, booking-system links, declarations and any additional information you provide.

If you submit a referral, we may collect your name, email address and organisation, the type of referral, the referred person or organisation’s name and the contact details and context you have permission to share.

If you submit a training enquiry, we may collect your name and email address, the selected courses, the number of people requiring training, your preferred timeframe and the requirements you include. The form names the RTO that will receive these details and requires your consent before submission.

When a website address includes campaign parameters, we may collect first-touch and latest-touch attribution information with a form submission. This can include UTM source, medium, campaign, term, content and campaign ID values, advertising click identifiers, landing and submission pages, referral source and capture time.

Our website hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information, such as:

  • your internet protocol address
  • browser and device information
  • the date, time and pages requested
  • referral and basic diagnostic information

If you contact Training Connect through LinkedIn or another published channel, we may receive the information you choose to provide and the profile information made available by that service.

How we use information

We may use information reasonably necessary to:

  • operate, secure and maintain the website
  • diagnose technical problems and prevent misuse
  • respond to enquiries and requests
  • refer consented course enquiries to the RTO named on the selected offering
  • assess RTO partnership registrations and verify relevant public registration or scope information
  • discuss potential marketplace listings, customer acquisition and booking arrangements
  • review referral introductions and contact the referred person or organisation
  • understand which information is useful to visitors
  • understand which campaigns lead to enquiries and newsletter registrations
  • meet legal and regulatory obligations

We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand aggregated page usage, referrers and general device or location trends. These services are configured without advertising cookies or persistent cross-site identifiers, and Training Connect does not send form contents to them as analytics events.

The website also stores limited first-touch and latest-touch campaign attribution in your browser’s local storage for up to 90 days. That information is sent to Training Connect only when you submit a contact, training, partnership, referral or newsletter form.

You can remove this stored attribution by clearing site data in your browser. Standard technical data may still be processed by the hosting service to deliver and protect the website. If accounts, advertising cookies or bookings are introduced later, we will update this policy and provide any notices or choices required at that time.

Sharing and third parties

We use Resend to deliver contact, training, partnership and referral enquiries, send acknowledgement emails and manage newsletter subscriptions. Resend processes the information submitted through those forms, including associated campaign attribution where available, for these purposes.

Current course-enquiry details are sent to Confidence Training Pty Ltd, RTO 46496, with a copy retained by Training Connect for referral administration. Submission is an enquiry only and is not a booking, acceptance or enrolment. Once the RTO receives the details, its own privacy obligations and notices also apply. General contact-form details are not automatically sent to the RTO.

We may disclose limited information when reasonably necessary to:

  • service providers that host, secure or support the website
  • professional advisers where advice is required
  • law enforcement, regulators or courts where required or authorised by law
  • protect the rights, safety and security of Training Connect, our users or others

Some service providers may use infrastructure outside Australia. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps required by Australian privacy law when personal information is disclosed overseas.

Links to training.gov.au, LinkedIn and RTO websites take you to services we do not control. Review their privacy information before providing personal information.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps appropriate to the information we hold to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law.

Access, correction and complaints

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or raise a privacy concern, through our contact page or the official Training Connect LinkedIn page linked in the footer. Do not include sensitive personal information in an initial message.

We will consider requests and complaints in accordance with applicable Australian privacy law. You can also learn about privacy rights or make a complaint through the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner .

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website, our information-handling practices or legal requirements change. The last-updated date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
