Why we built Training Connect
Finding a nationally recognised course should be straightforward. In practice, a person may start with a job requirement, a course name used at work or a national unit code, then move between training websites, government records and provider pages before they understand what to do next.
Training Connect was created to make that first stage clearer.
We bring concise information about nationally recognised training together with listings from participating Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). Visitors can search by a course name, unit code or RTO, review the available information and move towards an enquiry without losing the official context.
The aim is not to replace the organisations that deliver training. It is to make the pathway to nationally recognised courses easier to understand.
Find, review and compare courses
The Training Connect catalogue is designed around the questions people commonly ask before contacting a provider:
- What is the official national training code?
- What skills and knowledge does the training cover?
- Is the training product current?
- Which organisations are listed as offering it?
- Where can I verify the official record?
Each course page presents the unit or course in plain language, links to its source on the Australian Government’s National Training Register and shows the participating providers currently listed on Training Connect.
Visitors can also compare courses side by side. That can help when two similarly named units appear relevant or when a workplace is considering related options for a team.
Support for individuals and workplaces
Training needs do not always begin with a course code.
An individual might know the kind of work they want to do but not the recognised training attached to it. A workplace might be planning onboarding, refreshing team capability or responding to a project requirement. In both cases, search and clear course information can help turn a broad need into a more useful provider conversation.
Training Connect allows visitors to send an enquiry with details such as timing, location and group size. The provider remains responsible for confirming entry requirements, delivery arrangements, assessment, availability and fees.
A clearer path for RTOs
For Registered Training Organisations, Training Connect provides another way for prospective learners and workplaces to discover nationally recognised courses.
Participating RTOs can have an organisation profile, course listings and links into their existing enquiry or booking process. The model is designed to support—not replace—the organisation’s own systems and responsibilities.

Official records remain the source of truth
Training Connect uses public information from training.gov.au, the Australian Government’s National Training Register, to provide concise course and organisation summaries.
Every listing links back to the relevant official record. Visitors should use that record and information supplied by the RTO to confirm current scope, course requirements and provider status before enrolling.
Training Connect is not a Registered Training Organisation. We do not deliver, assess or certify training, and a listing on this website is not a substitute for advice from an RTO, employer or relevant regulator.
What comes next
The first Training Connect listings focus on safety-related training in the resources and infrastructure sector. The catalogue will grow as more training and participating providers are added.
